REAPPOINT Christine Campbell to the Appointee 7 Seat, Robert Brennan to the Appointee 5 Seat, and James Shields to the Appointee 3 Seat of the Alamo Police Services Advisory Committee (CSA P-2B CAC) for two-year terms ending December 31, 2027, as recommended by Supervisor Candace Andersen.

FISCAL IMPACT:

NONE

BACKGROUND:

Established on November 18, 1969, by Board Resolution 69/765, the purpose of the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee is to advise the Board of Supervisors and the Sheriff's Department on the needs of the Alamo community for extended police services which shall include, but not be limited to, enforcement of the State Vehicle Code, crime prevention, and litter control. On March 19, 2013. The Board of Supervisors approved a Board Order that retitled the County Service Area P-2B Citizens Advisory Committee to the "Alamo Police Services Advisory Committee". The Alamo Police Services Advisory Committee is comprised of seven regular members and one alternate who each serve a two-year term.

Supervisor Andersen advertised the expiring seats, received no new applications, and all three members declared their interest in continuing for another term. Supervisor Andersen is pleased with their involvement on APSAC and is happy to appoint each member sitting in an expiring seat to another term.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The seats will become vacant.
