Report Title: State Match Agreement with Caltrans for Fiscal Year 2023/2024, Countywide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE an agreement with the State of California, Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to receive $100,000 in state matching funds for transportation purposes during the period July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute the agreement on behalf of the County, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This agreement will authorize the County to receive the amount of $100,000 from the State Matching funds. (100% Local Road Funds)
BACKGROUND:
The Federal Apportionment State Match Program Agreement No. X24-5928(177) specifies that Caltrans agrees to pay the County $100,000 from the unobligated balance of its State Matching monies for Fiscal Year 2023/2024. The money must be used for transportation purposes in accordance with Article XIX of the California State Constitution.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Failure to approve this agreement will eliminate a potential funding source.
