RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #74-605-7 with Aurrera Health Group, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $750,000, to provide consultation and technical assistance services to the County’s Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD) regarding Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) requirements associated with Behavioral Health providers for the period from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2029.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $750,000 over a three-year period and will be funded by 75% Federal Medi-Cal and 25% Mental Health Realignment funds.
BACKGROUND:
This Contractor provides consultation and technical assistance services to the BHSD, with regard to claim procedures, contract compliance, provider compliance and communication. The Contractor’s consulting services are essential to ensure that BHSD can meet DHCS standards and WIC requirements. This Contractor has been a part of the BHSD Provider Network providing consultation and technical assistance services while fostering a deep understanding of the BHSD’s organization’s mission, values, and long-term objectives since September 1, 2019.
This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code 26227 and 31000. This Contract was approved by Health Services Personnel to ensure there is no conflict with labor relations. The Behavioral Health’s Quality Management, Utilization Management and Contract Monitor Staff meet on a regular basis to ensure monitoring and performance measures in the Contract are upheld.
