Report Title:                     FY 2024-25 Budget Amendment BDA-25-00103 for Revenue and Expenditure Budget Adjustments in the CCCFPD General Operating and EMS Transport Funds

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Acting as the governing board of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, APPROVE Budget Amendment No. BDA-25-00103 authorizing revenue and expenditure adjustments in the CCCFPD General Operating Fund (7300) and the CCCFPD EMS Transport Fund (7040) for a total of $29,350,000 as part of FY 2024-25 year-end budget balancing.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This action will adjust the appropriations in the amount of $3,250,000 in the CCCFPD General Operating Fund (7300) and $26,100,000 in the CCCFPD EMS Transport Fund (7040) for a total amount of $29,350,000 for the Fire District’s FY 2024-25 budget.

BACKGROUND:

The Fire District has identified the need for amendments to the FY 2024-25 budget to better align with the actual expenditures and revenues. This action is to adjust the revenues and expenditures budget to more accurately reflect budgetary requirements for the Fire District’s General Operating and EMS Transport Fund budgets.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If not approved, appropriations will not be properly reflected in the FY 2024-25 budget.
