IN THE MATTER OF Resolution recognizing The Retirement of Councilmember Scott Perkins from the City of San Ramon 2003-2024
Whereas, For the Library Renovation Oversight, Scott played a key role in overseeing the renovation of the San Ramon Library, ensuring the project met community needs despite budget challenges.; and
Whereas, As Chair of the Finance Committee, Scott has been instrumental in managing the city's budget and financial planning; and
Whereas, Scott worked to maintain a stable fiscal environment and during his tenure, the City secured a Standard & Poor's AAA Bond Rating and 15 consecutive Certificates of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report; and
Whereas, Scott has supported various measures to enhance public safety, including improvements to emergency response systems and community policing efforts. Five-Year Pavement Repair Plan, Iron Horse Trail Landscape Nodes, Establishment of the Community Facilities District , Joint San Ramon/Fire District Communications Center, Established the City Council Infrastructure Committee, Facilities Infrastructure Renovations.
Whereas, Throughout his tenure, Scott has prioritized engaging with residents, ensuring their voices are heard in city decisions and fostering a sense of community
