RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Resolution approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Hawthorne Drive, between Laurel Court and Vaqueros Avenue, on June 28, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., and June 30, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., for the purpose of replacing two utility poles using a crane and adding support anchors for the new utility poles, Rodeo area. (District V)

FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:
Pacific Gas and Electric Company shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department. Pacific Gas and Electric Company is requesting a road closure to replace two utility poles. The construction team indicated that a road closure is necessary for the requested work to be done safely with the required large crane. Pacific Gas and Electric Company is requesting the additional closure on June 30, 2024, to accommodate Caltrans' schedule.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Pacific Gas and Electric Company will be unable to close the road for planned activities.
