Report Title: Lease Amendment at 11780 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE a Third Lease Amendment with Del Norte Place Apartments L.P., a Delaware limited partnership, to extend the initial term through December 31, 2031, for 2,674 square feet of office space located at 11780 San Pablo Avenue, Suite D, El Cerrito, for occupancy by District 1 Supervisor, at a monthly rent of $6,824 for calendar year 2025, with 3% annual increases thereafter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% General Fund
BACKGROUND:
This space has served as the office for the District 1 Supervisor since 1999. The space continues to meet the requirements of the Supervisor’s office. By extending the Lease term and allowing District 1 to continue its operation at this location, the County will save money in relocation expenses.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Lease Amendment is not approved, District 1 Supervisor’s operation will have to find a new location to move to which will incur greater expenses.
