RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Office of Communications & Media, an agreement with CivicPlus, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $8,120.33 subject to CivicPlus, LLC’s Master Services Agreement for hosting, security, and support of the County’s intranet site, InsideContraCosta.org from March 8, 2024 through March 7, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this agreement will result in annual contractual service expenditures of up to $8,120.33 and will be funded by 100% cable franchise fees. (100% FRANCHISE FEES)
BACKGROUND:
CivicPlus, LLC provides cloud hosting and support for the County’s intranet site, which includes full security and disaster recovery. This contract includes mutual indemnification and limited liability language to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of the performance of this contract.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, the County’s intranet site could be at risk of disruption from a natural disaster in the local data center of CivicPlus in Kansas.
