IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing the contributions of Andre Johnson on the occasion of his 40 years of service to Contra Costa County

WHEREAS, on August 9, 1985, Andre Johnson began his career with Contra Costa County as an Institutional Services Aide for the Health Services Department at the County Hospital; and

WHEREAS, in 1995, Andre continued his career at the Public Works Department as a Laborer in the Maintenance Division; and

WHEREAS, in 1996, Andre received a Public Works Safe Driver Award; and

WHEREAS, in October 2002, Andre was presented with an "Award of Excellence" for his efforts on Franklin Canyon Road as part of the 2002 Chip Seal Crew; and

WHEREAS, in August 2007, Andre was presented with an "Award of Excellence" for his excellent customer service in recognizing neighborhood demographics and suggesting notices for the chip seal season be sent in both English and Spanish languages; and

WHEREAS, in November 2008, Andre received a J. Michael Walford Team of the Year award for his contributions to the 2008 Chip Seal Crew, for taking pride in their work and striving to do their best for a successful chip seal season under challenging circumstances; and

WHEREAS, in March 2009, Andre was presented with an "Award of Excellence" for his efforts in clearing culverts and keeping pumps running through the night to alleviate flooding in Montalvin Manor after recent storms; a...
