Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the Health Services Department, Amendment No. 1 to a participating addendum with CDW Government, LLC., to increase the amount by $500,000 to a payment limit of $3,000,000, for technology products, ancillary services and related solutions.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Additional Product and service costs are funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund 1. (100% Hospital Enterprise Fund 1)

BACKGROUND:

Contra Costa Purchasing Services is requesting approval of Amendment No. 1 to the Participating Addendum for additional funding to purchase of technology products, ancillary services and related solutions offered through CDW Government, LLC. Products are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota Public Agency. Approval of the addendum No. 1 between Contra Costa County and CDW Government, LLC, allows the Health Services Department to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota Public Agency, contract 121923-CDW. The additional funds will support the Health Services Department to purchase technology products, ancillary services, and related solutions, and provide discounted equipment off published list prices. Other County Departments have access to a countywide purchase order for their technology purchases.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Without approval of this agreement, the Health Services Department would be paying full price on technology products, ancillary services, and related solution purchases.
