Provide an update on returned funds from the original $15 million in one-time AB 109 Excess Funds, including the amount available for reallocation, CAB’s recommended funding amounts for selected providers, and the request for additional funding to address the difference between available funds and total provider requests.
Referral History and Update:
In 2024, the Community Advisory Board (CAB) recommended allocating approximately $15 million in one-time AB 109 Excess Funds to support housing, behavioral health, employment, and pre- and post-release engagement services. Following the return of funds, CAB identified providers for reallocation. The Policy & Budget Subcommittee subsequently reviewed the proposed allocations and developed recommended funding amounts for each selected provider.

Request CCP’s consideration and approval of CAB’s recommendations for reallocating returned AB 109 Excess Funds and providing additional funding to address the remaining funding gap.
