Report Title: Master Services and Subscription Agreement with ChargePoint, Inc.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee, to execute a Master Services and Subscription Agreement with ChargePoint, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $5,000 annually for the management of Electric Vehicle charging stations, for a period of five years from the date of execution.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Budgeted 100% CCCFPD General Operating Fund
BACKGROUND:
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District (District) has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at multiple District locations. Several of these charging stations are situated in areas where the District intends to allow employees to charge their personal electric vehicles. The District plans to partner with ChargePoint, Inc. to manage and facilitate payment processing for employees’ personal EV charging.
The agreement includes provisions for limitation of liability and indemnification from the District to ChargePoint, Inc., and their cellular service carrier(s).
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, The District will be unable to allow ChargePoint EV charging stations for employees’ personal use nor establish payment management and processes for such use of District EV charging stations.
