RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, a Participating Addendum with John Deere Shared Services, LLC., dba John Deere Construction Retail Sales, in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000, for Heavy Construction Equipment with Related Attachments and Technology for use by Public Works Road Maintenance during the period of July 9, 2024 through April 14, 2027, under the terms of a Master Contract awarded by Sourcewell, and distributed through the authorized dealer, Pape Machinery, Inc. (100% Local Road and Flood Control District Funds)
FISCAL IMPACT:
Product and service costs paid by Local Road and Flood Control District Funds.
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Purchasing Services Division is requesting approval of a Participating Addendum for the purchase of heavy construction equipment with related attachments and Technology through the authorized dealer Pape Machinery, Inc. Orders will be submitted as needed by Public Works Road Maintenance. Products are guaranteed through a master contract awarded by Sourcewell's Cooperative Program. Approval of the addendum between Contra Costa County and John Deere Shared Services, LLC., dba John Deere Construction Retail Sales, allows Public Works Road Maintenance to obtain guaranteed pricing available through Sourcewell's Cooperative contract.
