IN THE MATTER OF CYNTHIA CHAVEZ FOR HER 6 YEARS AS A VOLUNTEER TO CONTRA COSTA COUNTY

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez consistently supported the mission of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board since her appointment on May 22, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez effectively collaborated with community partners to advance the objectives of the Advisory Board; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez enthusiastically supported all of the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board projects pertaining to Substance Use Disorders and Behavioral Health; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez represented the Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board at several groups and coalitions, and community events such as Clean Slate, Resource Fair, Diablo Valley College, etc.; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez provided effective leadership as a Vice Chair and Chair of Community Awareness Committee and with other community constituents and local leaders, presenting resolutions at the Board of Supervisors; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Cynthia Chavez fulfilled the mission of the Board by volunteering a number of hours at Board meetings, community events, and leading People Who Make a Difference Awards and Recovery Champion Awards; and
