RECOMMENDATIONS:
Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No. 26258 to add one (1) Registration and Staffing Manager (VAHC) in salary plan and grade ZA5 1447 ($6,259.55 - $7,608.52); cancel one (1) vacant Clerk-Senior Level (JWXC) in salary plan and grade 3RX 1033 ($4,433.81 - $5,662.16) in position number 9764; and decrease the hours of one (1) vacant Departmental Human Resources Analyst I (ARVA) in salary plan and grade B85 1517 ($7,046.93 - $8,565.59) in position number 18257 from full-time (40/40) to part-time (24/40) in the Health Services Department. (Represented and Unrepresented)

FISCAL IMPACT:
This action will incur a cost of $136,555.77, including $19,949.39 pension costs. All positions are funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.

BACKGROUND:
As a result of budget hearings conducted by the County in or about April of 2021, on May 11, 2021, Contra Costa Health (CCH) regretfully unfunded one (1) vacant Registration and Staffing Manger as part of position modification. Since this position was relinquished, CCH has realized there remains a significant need for this position to be included in its operational structure of the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Health Centers. Hence, CCH requests to add one (1) Registration and Staffing Manager. To partially offset the funding, CCH will eliminate one vacant clerical position that is not needed in the current organizational structure.
