Mayor Dionne Adams was born and raised in Pittsburg. Mayor Adams serves on the Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce Board, as an advocate for local and diverse businesses. In her professional career, she has worked for over 20 years in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, supplier diversity, marketing, operations, and public policy. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from San Francisco State and earned her master’s in public policy from Golden Gate University. Mayor Adams currently serves on the City Council's Community and Economic Development, Infrastructure and Transportation, and Life Enrichment Subcommittees. She also serves as a city representative on the Tri-Delta Transit Board and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Board.
