RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a purchase order with R-Computer, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $9,340 and a Workleap Platform Inc. End User License, Maintenance and Support Agreement for the period August 22, 2024 through August 21, 2026, for the purchase of Sharegate licenses.

 

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

$9,340 (59% Federal; 35% State; 6% County General Fund), $4,281 of which is budgeted in FY 23-24, $4,670 of which will be budgeted in FY 24-25, and $389 of which will be budgeted in FY 25-26.

 

 

BACKGROUND:

Sharegate is a management software that supports the SharePoint management platform. The SharePoint platform (on Sharegate software) is used to house the Employment and Human Services intranet website, which provides for simplification of complex tasks, and enhances efficiency. This purchase includes an agreement that includes a mutual indemnification clause.

 

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:

This agreement/contract supports all five of the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: (1) "Children Ready for and Succeeding in School"; (2) "Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood";(3) "Families that are Economically Self-Sufficient"; (4) "Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing"; and (5) "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families,” by supporting staff working directly with families and children.

 

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will not be able to maintain its SharePoint environment in support of its customers.
