Roll call, introductions, welcome new Committee member  
County Reps present: Jeff Schultz (Blackhawk Chief of Police), Paul Gilbert  
(Blackhawk Officer), Carol Mascali (Supervisor Andersen's office) and Tyler Hahn  
(CHP Officer).  
Residents and guests present: Andrew Konieczny (HOA).

Chief of Police Report

Chief of Police Report from the previous month’s activities (December 2024)  
a. Introduction of Officer Paul Gilbert – 2nd day  
b. 369 calls; 7 reports; 0 felonies; 1 misdemeanor; 0 arrests.  
c. The misdemeanor included:  
-A hit and run accident on 12/24/2024 (@ the intersection of Blackhawk Drive and  
Blue Spruce Drive with complaint of pain. CHP handled initial report, with BH Police  
follow-up identifying the responsible party.  
d. There were no arrests December 2024  
e. No significant incidents of interest to report.  
f. Volunteers in Policing: 18 hours served by four volunteers.  
g. There will be no “Coffee with the Chief” for January due to weather.  
Blackhawk Police Staffing Plan  
a. Changes within the Office of the Sheriff. Chief Schultz will be refreshing the staff  
to add two new deputies after January 13th, 2025. Look for Officer introductions  
(Macias & Gilbert) in the next Blackhawk Beat. We are unable to fill the third  
position at this time, due to Department staffing levels. Chief Schultz will be having  
some officers provide coverage through overtime.  
b. Question about an incident involving a vehicle on BH Road. Female with mattress  
on top of car asking pedestrians for assistance in the general area. Suspicious  
behavior – out of state license plates. Chief to look into any reports.

CHP Report  
-Hit & Run inside the gates, working with BH Police.  
-Volunteers in the area making consensual contacts and handing out stickers.  
-Hit & run on BH & Charbray.  
Homeowners Associations Report  
On Frontsteps, a flyer outreach to residents for LA Fire victim support. Concern  
about the "dry" pond with the current fire issues in LA. Supervisor's Office to gather  
more information on the pond status.

Blawkhawk Country Club Report  
Trying to get right people in the room to discuss Fireworks Shows at Country Clubs.  
Future of BH Fireworks show in light of fire issues.

A. 2025 Committee's Goals & Objectives  
1. Elect Committee Officers for 2025  
2. Community education about the Blackhawk Police  
3. The Blackhawk Country Club contribution

a. 2025 goals & objectives:  
Motion to elect the following Officers for 2025: Vin Mathur– motion, Robert Durr-  
second. Motion approved.

Goals & Objectives  
1. Link with other BH Groups  
-Blackhawk Women Group  
-Blackhawk Choir  
-Committee Outreach/Education about the Blackhawk Police and to get  
more community involvement & attendance at meetings  
3. Blackhawk CC contribution  
-Board of Country Club remain supportive and committed.  
-$40,000 per year (4 payments)  
-1st payment in 2nd payment to occur before June 30th

i. Have four “old apps” but best applicants come from recommendations by the  
current Board.
