Representatives from the Center for Elders’ Independence introduced the new West County PACE
Healthcare Center, which now serves over 1,500 participants. The program provides comprehensive
medical and in-home services to help older adults maintain independence. The capitated health care
system ensures participants receive full coverage for care, regardless of location. Eligibility criteria
include being 55 or older and close to nursing home-eligible status. Council members discussed

send assessment teams for home visits upon request.
