P.1. Presentation by Contra Costa County Supervisor’s Office  
Supervisor Gioia spoke on the current view ordinance and potential implementation of said ordinance  
for East Richmond/Hasford Heights. There was also discussion regarding the creation of a working  
group(s) pertaining to Wildfire and Pedestrian Safety. Ronnie (District Coordinator) presented update  
regarding the Jelly's Place relocation, and vacancies for District 1 commission and councils  
P.2. Presentation by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District  
Michelle Rinehart presented information regarding East Richmond Heights FireWise zones, The Contra  
Costa Wildfire Mitigation Program, and additional grant opportunities for funding the ConFire  
Community Coordinator position.  
P.3. Presentation by Sheriff’s Office Bay Station Commander, Lt. Brian Holland  
Mills presented updates in the stead of Sgt. Vradenburg. There were no major crimes reported in the  
area. One notable incident involved the theft of a bicycle from a vehicle’s bike rack on the 6000 block of  
Ralston Avenue. There were no known suspects, and no other similar incidents were reported. In total,  
there were 53 calls for service, with only five reports generated

DI.1 Discussion of Kensington View Ordinance and Whether to Recommend a View Ordinance for East  
Richmond Heights  
DI. 2 Discussion of the Art and Music Festival for August 2nd  
Dated for August 2, 2025. More volunteers are needed for a successful event. Chair Sargent has started  
the permit process. There was additional discussion around the start and end time of the event.

SR.1 Land Use Committee: Joann Pavlinec, Jinwei Zhang  
The ERHMAC Land Use Subcommittee reviewed the following county files:  
CDVR24-01046: Recommended for Approval. The applicant confirmed that the entry deck underside  
will be screened and planted with vines, though this was not reflected in the submitted drawings.  
CDLP25-02001: Review Continued due to insufficient information. The subcommittee requested  
additional details, including residential elevations, for proper Design Review.  
CDVR24-01032: Recommended for Approval.
