P.1. Presentation by Contra Costa County Supervisor’s Office  
Supervisor Gioia:  
*First BOS meeting of 2025. Confirmation of new District 5 Supervisor (Supervisor SHANELLE  
SCALES-PRESTON) replacing Sup. Federal Glover  
*Sup. Gioia, Chair of the Wildfire Coalition of East Bay Governments, leads discussions on  
collaborative vegetation management guidelines and grant opportunities across fire districts. He also is  
in the planning stages of implementing a Community Town Hall on current actions of wildfire  
management and prevention.  
*Sup. Gioia addressed concerns around a potential view ordinance for East Richmond Heights that  
would aid in protecting home owners views and access to sunlight.  
*Discussion regarding Jelly's Place and the involvement of Chevron to partner in making portions of  
land available for their relocation. Meeting with County Planning and Chevron to come soon.  
*Discussion regarding a boat ordinance and boat storage in the East Richmond/Hasford Heights area  
*Surface treatment will start Summer 2025

*Introduced new Swing Sgt. for the Bay Station  
*Lt. Holland was unable to provide an update for November due to technical difficulties, but gave an  
update regarding service calls in December

DI.1 Discussion & Vote on Moving Monthly Meetings to Bi-Monthly

*Discussion on moving monthly meetings to bi-monthly. There was additional feedback given from the  
community that was in favor of keeping the meetings to the monthly format to adequately address the  
growing concerns for the neighborhood with the exclusion of December.

November meetings. No subsequent meetings have been held since.  
*Additional discussion regarding the pending Fire Safety Subcommittee and dates or times to meet.  
*Additional discussion regarding the implementation of a Traffic and Road Safety Subcommittee  
*Discussion regarding the East Richmond Heights Festival Subcommittee and offices that needed to be  
filled.
