10:10 Area Agency on Aging Report – Alicia Espinoza, AAA Program Manager  
Senior Nutrition RFPs – AAS Bureau Review completed. Awaiting approval from CDA to move  
forward and provide allocation amounts to awardees. Official awardee list to be shared at ACOA  
General meeting in August. RFP to be released for C1 and C2 services in West County by July  
2025.  
Age-Friendly Campaign – Projected launch of Age-Friendly campaign July 2025 to counter  
age-bias and promote age-friendly communities via digital billboards, social media posts, and  
radio ads. Media and Community Relations team finalizing images with corresponding taglines.  
Purchase order for iHeart radio being finalized.  
ACOA Website: Planning Committee mockup text congruent with ACOA Annual Report  
presented to Executive Committee. All committee chairs provide to provide mockup reflective of  
Planning Committee mockup for consistency for website revision.

10:12 Budget updates:  
CDA released OAA allocations. Level funding has mostly been maintained for all programs  
except Senior Nutrition (NSIP funds used to purchase food were cut). Staff are working with  
CBOs on contract renewals to include OAA funding, MOCA funding, and MX funding. The  
AAA continues to await the release of the Federal budget which may cause budget revisions.  
10:30 Committee/Workgroup Reports:  
Membership/Nominating – Jim Donnelly for Julie Ortega and Logan Robertson  
City seat openings: Pittsburg, San Pablo, San Ramon, Clayton, Antioch, and Brentwood.  
LOAs only need to be approved by the Executive Committee, not by the General body.  
3 alternate seat interviews conducted (consent items below).

Planning – Jill Kleiner  
Met 6/3/25.  
Budget review from Director Tracy Murray.  
Dick Morisky as alternate – Planning seats are full.  
Committees to provide updates on objectives June 2025.  
4th focus group revisitation site will be Monument Crisis Center in Concord on 6.26.25, 10:30a  
– 11:30a (Marylin Fowler to facilitate).  
Considering Mira Flores in Richmond, Oakley Senior Center, and Brentwood Senior Center as  
possible focus group revisitation sites.  
Explored other topics to bring to the community.  
ACOA will no longer join AAA on monitoring visits to CBOs. ACOA CBO tours are being  
considered instead.  
Housing – Kevin Donovan  
Support sought for AB 474. Bill focuses on incentivizing and removing barriers for Californians  
participating in nonprofit home-sharing programs.  
Victoria Snyder from CCSLS provided services to about 800 participants on legal matters.  
Introduction of 22 separate bills for a standardized approach to affordable housing.  
“No Place to Call Home” presentations completed at following sites: Martinez Senior  
Commission, Concord City Council, Rossmoor Democratic Club, Senior and Adults Brentwood  
Council.  
Alex Worth presenting at July meeting. Housing will not meet in June.  
Health and Elder Abuse Prevention – Mike Wener  
9 members and 1 alternate  
Brian O’Toole to present on Medi-Cal in June.  
Terri to present goals/objectives at ACOA General.  
Aging in Place Brochure being worked on.

SB4 239 was in Judiciary Committee meeting.  
SB 707 is the opposite bill to SB 239.  
SB 239 pulled from active list.  
Technology - Steve Lipson  
A.I. continues to release groundbreaking technologies.  
Bay Area Digital Inclusion Coalition – OATS (Older Adults Techology Services): Ryan from  
CDA will present at Technology Committee in June.  
Transportation – Jim Donnelly for Candace Evans  
Planning to organize a series of accessible transportation workshops across the county  
3-4 in different parts of County (Central, East, West) – looking to start in Lafayette.
