1:40 Tech/AI Corner: Washington Post: AI “Blind Spot” Shootout + Eric Schmidt(Google) Interview  
- Steve reported on the Washington Post article on AI. Brock questioned the appropriateness  
of the assessment tools they used.  
- Interviews with AI leaders on available on YouTube  
1:45 Discussion: CSL Brown Act Revisions Proposal  
- SB 707 – Brown Act bill will hopefully make it to the Governors desk for signature in a  
couple of days.

2:35 Discussion: Older Adult Ed Public Health Curriculum  
- This California Senior Legislature (CSL) proposal focuses on technology literacy through  
Older Adult Education and a public health lens because so it addresses social isolation.  
- The goal is to develop curriculum to meet people where they are at with the technology they  
have. The Committee discussed ideas of what should be included in the curriculum with a goal  
of keeping seniors physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy. Other considerations for the  
curriculum:  
- The Case for Public Health-Based Learning  
- AI and Older Adults  
- Curriculum Design & Device Philosophy  
- Technology as a Utility  
- Emotional and Social Value of Learning
