The Board received a presentation from the Contra Costa Workforce Development  
Board on the county’s AB 109 Pathway Pilot Program. Board members inquired  
about how participants are prepared for the program, how lived experiences are  
integrated, and whether trauma-informed and spiritual support components are  
included. They also requested data on vacancy trends, wage levels, and whether  
participants can remain in positions beyond the program timeline, potentially with  
county-subsidized wages to ensure a livable income. Additional questions focused  
on inter-agency collaboration, participant intake and selection processes,  
wraparound services, and how the program addresses barriers to employment.  
Presenters expressed their willingness to return to CAB with data on program  
outcomes, successes, and challenges.  
Discuss Office of Reentry & Justice: Updates on Resources and  
Solicitations.

CAB discussed updates on resources and upcoming solicitations provided by the  
Office of Reentry & Justice. Board members asked whether there is any effort to  
access older data from Probation. ORJ staff will validate and update all links,  
explore the best methods for sharing information, and plan to conduct an  
evaluation for pilots for excess funds.  
Discuss Updates on Ambassador Outreach and Meeting Scheduling.

CAB discussed Ambassador meeting assignments, with members sharing updates  
on their outreach efforts and any challenges encountered. Additional updates will  
be provided at the next CAB General Meeting.

materials. Members suggested changing “excused” to “unexcused,” breaking up  
the orientation content for new members, revising the annual commitment to  
three years, and ensuring all sections are aligned.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:04 p.m. by Nicole Green. The next scheduled meeting of  
the Committee is Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10 a.m.
