CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (Project Sponsor), County File #GP18-0001:

This is a public hearing for the County Planning Commission to review and
consider recommending adoption of the Contra Costa County 2045 General
Plan and Contra Costa County Climate Action and Adaptation Plan 2024
Update. The 2045 General Plan is a long-range planning document
containing goals, policies, and actions that will guide County
decision-making related to land use and infrastructure over the next 20
years. The 2045 General Plan plans for 23,200 new residential units, 1.2
million square feet of new commercial and office space, and 5 million
square feet of new industrial space. The Climate Action and Adaptation Plan
contains strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions consistent
with State goals, adapt to a changing climate, and mitigate the GHG
