CONSIDER staff recommendations for the reallocation of Community

Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds (Gabriel Lemus, Assistant Deputy

Director, Department of Conservation and Development)

Daniel Davis, Department of Conservation and Development staff, presented the

department's recommendations for reallocations of Community Development Block Grant

funds, including $72,000 to the Lions Center for the Visually Impaired (LCVI) for

bathroom renovations to address ADA accessibility at 175 Alvarado Avenue, Pittsburg; and

reallocating $60,000 of recaptured CDBG funds to Nurturing Independence through

Artistic Development (NIAD) for the modernization of the fire alarm system at 551 23rd

Street, Richmond. The Finance Committee approved the department's recommendations

and directed staff to prepare a related consent item for the Board of Supervisors meeting on

February 25, 2025.
